The University of California Anti-Discrimination Policy prohibits discrimination and harassment based on all Protected Characteristics, as well as related retaliation arising from protected activity under the policy. The policy also defines how the University will respond to reports of Prohibited Conduct.
Conduct that is prohibited by the Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Policy (e.g., sexual violence and sexual harassment) is governed by that policy, as described below.
UC Sexual Violence Sexual Harassment Policy and Grievance Procedures
The UC Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Policy and grievance procedures can be found online. This policy prohibits sex-based misconduct, such as sexual violence, sexual harassment, invasion of sexual privacy, indecent exposure, relationship violence, stalking and retaliation against individuals involved in reporting or for participating in an investigation. It also defines how the University will respond to reports of such Prohibited Conduct.
The University also prohibits retaliation against any individual for making a good faith report of discrimination or harassment, or for participating in a resolution process under any University of California Nondiscrimination Policies.
