Learn About Our Process

Review our policies and resolution processes.

UCLA is committed to creating and maintaining a community free from discrimination and harassment where we can all work, learn and thrive together in a safe, inclusive and respectful environment. Sexual misconduct and other discrimination and harassment based on any protected characteristics are expressly prohibited by the University of California’s Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment and Anti-Discrimination policies, as is retaliation for reporting discrimination or harassment. These policies apply to students, faculty, staff, patients, and third-parties.

Protected characteristics are defined by law and University policy and include: race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, religion, sex, gender, gender expression, gender identity, gender transition status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, medical condition (cancer-related or genetic characteristics), genetic information (including family medical history), marital status, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, and veteran or military status.

The Civil Rights Office Team is here to help you.

The Civil Rights Office (CRO) leads UCLA’s coordinated response to reports of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and sexual misconduct involving community members in any UCLA educational programs and activities, and at any UCLA locations, departments and institutes, including hospitals and clinics. CRO also provides support to those who are impacted.

We encourage all community members who experience sexual misconduct or other discrimination or harassment based on any protected characteristics to make a timely report to CRO.

Note: CRO is not a first responder and does not provide emergency services.
If you are experiencing an emergency,  contact UCPD, the appropriate law enforcement agency, or call 911.
